About: Sewing since childhood, Barbara later received a degree from the School of Fashion in Boston. Years later, as a busy mom, Barbara designed and sewed a yoga mat bag and received a bit of unexpected attention from her yoga friends. Next thing she knew, she was making more of these bags for friends and for the yoga community to sell! Over the years Barbara has perfected and fine tuned the construction of her mat bags as well as eye pillows, masks and meditation cushions!

About: Carrie is an independent designer and maker who sews leather handbags, clutches and accessories. After college Carrie sewed an over-the-shoulder bag out of a ripped up motorcycle jacket. Friends began asking for their own bags, thus emerged Carrie George handbags. Now, Carrie's designs are grounded in premium top-grain 100% leather with additions of wood, metal and canvas. The metal used on the clutches are hand-welded by a friend and local fabricator.

About: Natalie Rae's creative offerings include repurposed vintage Hmong Hill Tribe textiles turned statement accessories! After staying in the villages of Southeast Asia, Natalie learned all about their textile trade: hemp cultivation, batik making, cross stitch, indigo dying and fabric trading. Over time the idea of sharing this unique art with the world manifested and by working with a translator named Lan and 6 other Hmong women, together they created Natalie Rae NY.

About: Mary Rockcastle is a designer, seamstress and maker living in Rochester. She graduated Parsons, the NY School for Design in 2015 with a BFA in illustration. Combined with a new understanding for the fashion industry and the traumatic collapse of Rana Plaza in Bangladesh in 2013, Mary became interested in making her own clothes. Since moving back home, Mary has made her work out of her studio space under the broad title of Sablecraft. She sews, paints, designs textiles, drafts patterns, knits and quilts.

About: Rita grew up spending lots of quality time with her own Gramma's. They doted on her fondly teaching her how to sew and knit. Rita developed a great affinity for the (now vintage) hand-crocheted lace they used to cover everything with. She makes it her mission to rescue said lace anytime she happens upon it, re-imagining it into elegant and classic bridal accessories.

About: Beth & Jill are sisters and business partners who grew up in Avon, NY - a place know for corn! They hand make corn cozy's, which are fabric bags filled with corn kernels that when heated up, provide warmth and relief for sore muscles, cramps, headaches etc. Beth & Jill grew up making these cozy's with their mom and grandmother and recently decided to start sharing their comforting creations with the world!
